My in-wall microwave decided to call it quits, leaving me without a microwave for two whole weeks! Since major repairs weren’t on the agenda at that time, I went on the hunt for a replacement. The COMMERCIAL CHEF 0.9 Cu Ft Microwave quickly caught my eye. It had the perfect size for my countertop, seemed well-made, and offered the features I needed without any unnecessary bells and whistles.
Interestingly enough, I’d actually encountered this same microwave on a recent vacation rental! Having a positive experience with it there solidified my decision to purchase it for my own kitchen. The microwave itself works great. It offers six different power levels, which is enough for my typical reheating and light cooking needs.
It did take a little trial and error to get the hang of the timing though. The dial only goes from 1 minute to 30 minutes, so there’s a bit of a learning curve when it comes to adjusting the power levels to achieve the desired cooking time.
